Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Southern Vermont College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Vermont students paid $25,511 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $736 more than the $24,775 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 84 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.4 million and 68 students took out student loans totaling more than $689,875.

Including all undergraduates (351), 350 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.2 million, and 292 students took out $2 million in federal student loans.
