HAPPY JULY 4TH TO OUR UNION MEMBERS FROM THE VERMONT AFL-CIO
From the American Revolution to the present, the struggle for more democracy, social justice, economic equity, Union rights, and working class power has been ever present. Â And today, even when we suffer setbacks at the hands of reactionaries and the wealthy few who fear progressive change, we know that in the end, if we are united, we will prevail as the arc of history is on our side.Â
And while today we celebrate the old victory over British imperialism that is July 4th, we, as a Labor Movement, will continue to commit ourselves to fight for the right of women to control their own bodies, against racial discrimination, and for the right of all workers to form a Union. Together we are the many, and together we shall win!Â
Happy July 4th to Union members everywhere.
