March 20 marked a significant win for the St. John’s Red Storm, as former Vermont Academy standout Joson Sanon contributed to the team’s 79-53 NCAA Tournament victory against the Northern Iowa Panthers.
The matchup, held at Viejas Arena, began at 6:10 p.m.
Sanon’s performance included six points, two rebounds and two assists across 18 minutes on the court.
The Red Storm advance to compete on Sunday, March 22, with the tipoff set for 4:15 p.m. at Viejas Arena.
