91 percent of applicants to Southern Vermont College were admitted for fall 2018

At Southern Vermont College, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 68 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Bennington enrolled 351 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 13.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of Vermont, and 66 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 91 percent of the 403 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
