57 percent of applicants to Bennington College were admitted for fall 2018

At Bennington College, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Bennington enrolled 811 students in fall 2018, including 735 in undergraduate and 76 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

3 percent of undergraduates are residents of Vermont, and 75 percent are residents of other states. 21 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).

The school admitted 57 percent of the 1,494 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
