Vermont Agency of Natural Resources issued the following announcement.
Staff spotlight! Anna manages the Hazardous Waste Program in the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and has helped improve public understanding of hazardous waste regulations (which are pretty technical!) -- an important tool in minimizing the risk to human health and the environment that hazardous wastes present.
From Anna: One of my favorite parts of my job is working one-on-one with facilities in resolving unusual hazardous waste related situations – where I get to delve into data reports and research historic guidance on the subject.
It's part of our Agency's Earth Day tradition to name a handful of our colleagues as "Earth Day Heroes" -- folks doing great work to steward Vermont's natural resources for all to enjoy. For the next few days we'll be featuring this year's Earth Day Heroes!
