BARRE SCHOOL WORKERS FROM AFSCME LOCAL 1369 RATIFY 4 YEAR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH $8500+ RAISES DURING LIFE OF CONTRACT
Today members of AFSCME Local 1369 of the Vermont AFL-CIO, Barre School support staff (maintenance, custodians, etc.), ratified a new four year Collective Bargaining Agreement which achieves $8500+ raises over the life of the Contract. The Agreement includes:
* Year one COLA of $1.15 an hour (plus longevity);
* Year two COLA of .85 cents an hour (plus longevity);
* Year three COLA of .75 cents an hour (plus longevity);
* Year four COLA of .75 cents an hour (plus longevity);
* Longevity pay going from .10 cents a year to .15 cents;
* Minimum bargaining unit pay raises to $20 an hour during life of agreement;
* $25 payout per unused sick day (up to 100 days) upon retirement (up from $20);
* Uniform pay up to $400 during life of agreement (up from $300).
The Vermont AFL-CIO congratulates Union Chapter Chair John Walker, the Bargaining Team, and the rank & file members of Local 1369 for winning a solid Union contract and once again showing that there is POWER IN THE UNION.
