Petra Kapsalis, a Microbiology major at UVM, is volunteering at King Street Center in Burlington this summer. “I decided to volunteer as a reading buddy because I remember that when I was learning how to read it was really hard. I would have appreciated having an older mentor to look up to and someone to get me excited about reading books. I love what King Street Center stands for and was excited to be a part of their community.”
