Norwich University’s Cyber Institute sent four Cyber Leader Development Program students and two faculty members to DEFCON in Las Vegas, NV

Last week, Norwich University’s Cyber Institute sent four Cyber Leader Development Program students and two faculty members to DEFCON in Las Vegas, NV. The Norwich Cyber Institute provides students with incentives, opportunities, experiences, and certifications to prepare for Department of Defense cyber work roles and careers. At DEFCON, students had the opportunity to explore multiple facets of computer- and cybersecurity-related subjects. Tyler Hayes, a rising-senior and Cyber Leader Development Program student of two years, stated of his experience, “Being around like-minded individuals from different backgrounds allowed me to see how complex cyber really is. There are so many different things you can do… anyone can find something they enjoy in the world of cyber.”
