Known as “the bank with a heart,” Peoples Trust Company has a longstanding history of investing in and serving the local community. United Way of Northwest Vermont is honored to partner with People’s Trust Company to help fulfill that vision.

Last week, Peoples Trust Company employees raised more than $9,000 for our community through its United Way Workplace Campaign. This was the first time People’s Trust ran a workplace campaign and we were floored to learn they had an 86% participation rate!

The campaign, though, is not the only way Peoples Trust Company is partnering with United Way to make our community a better place. They also hosted a United Way training at one of their St. Albans branches designed to help HR professionals, supervisors, managers and team leads increase employee support for mental health needs in the workplace.

In addition, Peoples Trust Company employee Chris Bernard recently joined our Partner Funding Team, a citizen committee of volunteers who help us decide how to invest community-raised resources to address local priorities in the most impactful way possible.

“Peoples Trust Company shares United Way’s commitment to addressing local issues that have the greatest impact on the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors in Northwest Vermont. We are so grateful to partner with them in bringing the community together to create long-lasting change,” said Cari Kelley, United Way’s Workplace Donor Relations Manager.
